Fashion Forward: Eyewear Industry Gathers to Celebrate Design

The visionary minds behind the world’s most cutting-edge eyewear will convene in February for the 10th Annual Love Eyewear Awards.

Hosted by 100% Optical, the preeminent British eyewear trade show, the awards honour innovation and style across categories like Sustainable Frame of the Year and Best New Designer.

“These awards truly reflect the incredible fashion, design, and technology shaping optics today,” said Marlon Cera-Marle, 100% Optical’s show director.

A star-studded panel of judges will crown the winners, including designer Morag Myerscough, editors Stefano Ampollini and Clodagh Norton, and museum curator Neil Handley.

The newly added Best Innovation Award will highlight advances moving the industry forward. Fittingly, augmented reality pioneer ShopAR by DeepAR is a lead sponsor.

“We’re thrilled to bring an extra dimension through AR and 3D tech,” said ShopAR CEO George Berkowski. The company created an interactive filter allowing attendees to digitally try on nominated eyewear.

Berkowski will demo these innovations at 100% Optical. “It’s a chance to see our visually stunning solutions in action,” he said.

Submissions are open through early December, followed by judging and nominations. Winners will be crowned at a glamorous ceremony on February 24.

“The standard improves each year as designs get more innovative,” Cera-Marle said. “We expect incredible entries from optical’s biggest names.”

For an industry built on vision, the future looks bright. The Love Eyewear Awards promise to showcase that optimism through style and technology.
