Joe Field Takes Full Ownership of Advanced Polymers as Company Poised for Growth

Advanced Polymers Ltd, a prominent UK manufacturer specialising in silicone rubber extrusions, mouldings, and sealing solutions for regulated and high-performance industries, has undergone a change in ownership. Managing Director Joe Field has assumed sole control following the retirement of co-owners Gary and Amy White.

The company will maintain its current operations without alterations to its customer service teams or manufacturing capabilities. Since 2007, Joe Field has co-led Advanced Polymers, guiding the business through a period of significant expansion. Under his leadership, turnover has increased fourfold, alongside investments in advanced manufacturing technologies and the introduction of innovative materials such as Silicrumb, a recycled silicone rubber compound.

Operating under ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications, Advanced Polymers delivers customised products to demanding sectors including aerospace, medical, and rail industries. The firm is recognised for its expertise in producing aircraft cabin and galley seals, environmental seals, vacuum forming seals, and bespoke sealing solutions designed for some of the most challenging operational environments requiring engineering support.

The company’s capabilities encompass custom polymer formulations, colour matching, bespoke extrusions, moulding, O ring and picture frame fabrications, adhesive backing, and gasket cutting. These services are supported by a comprehensive library of over 3,000 dies and a rapid turnaround on new tooling.

In conjunction with the ownership transition, Jerome Roberty has been promoted to Operations Director.
