New Online Tool Enables UK Parents to Verify Stroller Compatibility with Airline Cabin Rules

UK parents can now check whether their stroller will fit in an aircraft’s overhead locker before arriving at the gate, thanks to a new free online resource. The Stroller Airline Size Checker, introduced by BabyTravel UK, aims to eliminate the common travel hassle of discovering pushchair size issues at the last minute.

The tool allows users to select their stroller model and airline from dropdown menus, instantly revealing if the pushchair complies with the airline’s cabin baggage size restrictions, requires gate-checking, or must be placed in the hold. It currently supports 13 airlines, including Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways, Jet2, TUI, Wizz Air, and Emirates, as well as 10 popular stroller models available in the UK market. For strollers not listed, parents can manually input custom dimensions.

With airline cabin baggage policies differing widely and subject to frequent changes, many parents face uncertainty about stroller size allowances. BabyTravel UK’s 2026 comparison highlighted that maximum cabin dimensions can vary by up to 15cm among major European carriers, meaning a stroller accepted by one airline might be refused by another.
