SGS Offers Complimentary PFAS Testing at Eurobike 2026 in Frankfurt
SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, will provide Eurobike 2026 attendees with a free PFAS testing service, aiming to increase awareness of hazardous substances and support a charitable cause.
The event takes place in Frankfurt from June 24 to 27, where visitors can submit product samples on the first day at SGS’s booth located in Hall 12, E51. These samples will undergo complimentary analysis at SGS’s advanced chemical laboratory in Taunusstein. The testing employs sophisticated analytical techniques to detect total fluorine and key PFAS contaminants, offering an initial assessment of chemical safety for clients.
This initiative forms part of SGS’s wider campaign to raise PFAS awareness, assisting manufacturers, suppliers and brands in navigating increasingly strict chemical regulations and market demands. The company emphasises that managing PFAS risks can be straightforward, cost-effective and efficient.
The free testing is limited to 150 samples on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of one sample per company. The first 75 samples submitted on Wednesday will receive test reports by Friday, while the remaining 75 will be provided with results shortly after the event concludes. SGS’s PFAS specialists will be present at the booth to address any questions from visitors.
Although the testing is complimentary, SGS encourages participants to consider making a voluntary donation to World Bicycle Relief (WBR), a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing education, healthcare and economic opportunities by improving mobility in communities.
In addition to PFAS testing, SGS experts will be available throughout Eurobike to discuss comprehensive solutions for the bicycle and e-mobility industries. These include safety validation for vehicles and components, covering structural, mechanical, electrical, functional, chemical compliance and wireless cybersecurity testing.
