S&P Global has been recognized in Newsweek’s ranking of America’s Greenest Companies 2024 for its commitment to sustainability.

The annual list, compiled in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group and GIST Impact, honors the top U.S. companies making progress in reducing their environmental footprint. Rankings are based on greenhouse gas emissions, water use, waste generation and sustainability disclosures.

“We are delighted to be acknowledged with this accolade recognizing our long-standing commitment to sustainability,” said Dimitra Manis, Chief Purpose Officer at S&P Global. “We know that both our people and the next generation of the workforce deeply value environmental sustainability and we are committed to accelerating our progress in this field.”

The honor adds to several recent awards for S&P Global’s sustainability, diversity and inclusion efforts, including being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek and Seramount’s 100 Best Companies list.

“Our ‘People First’ philosophy enables us to build a more inclusive and equitable culture driven by our core values of Discovery, Partnership and Integrity,” said Manis. “It is this culture and focus on our people that truly sets us apart.”

S&P Global outlined its latest sustainability goals and progress in its recent Impact Report. The company provides credit ratings, benchmarks, analytics and workflow solutions to leading organizations globally across capital, commodity and automotive markets.

“With every one of our offerings, we help the world’s leading organizations plan for tomorrow, today,” the company said.
