Camira, a prominent global designer and manufacturer of contract fabrics, has unveiled its new e-commerce platform, Camira Trade, offering trade customers round-the-clock access to ordering and discounts of up to 40% off the recommended retail price of textile products. This strategic move aligns with Camira’s 5-year business plan, which focuses on leveraging new technologies to drive digital growth and enhance the overall customer experience.

Camira Trade is currently available in the UK, EU, Norway, and Switzerland, empowering trade customers to conveniently purchase fabrics at any time of the day or week. The platform also provides instant stock checks and real-time visibility into lead times, delivering unrivalled benefits to both new and existing customers.

The e-commerce capability of Camira Trade is seamlessly integrated with the company’s internal resource planning systems and website infrastructure, marking a significant step in their broader automation and e-commerce strategy introduced in March of the previous year. Since its launch, Camira Trade has attracted over 500 new customers and automated 50% of sample orders, resulting in substantial time savings of more than 300 hours per person for the customer service team.

Sam Birkhead, Group Digital Marketing Manager at Camira, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “Our new e-commerce capability is the first step in our plans to drastically improve the customer experience. It provides unrivalled benefits to both new and existing trade customers in the UK and Europe, who are now able to purchase fabrics 24 hours a week, seven days a week. It also offers customers the ability to make instant stock checks and view lead times instantaneously.”

With headquarters in the UK, Camira operates manufacturing facilities in the UK and Lithuania, along with offices and showrooms across Europe, North America, Australia, and China. As a trailblazer in innovation, the company has plans to expand Camira Trade to other markets while further developing its e-commerce offering in the coming years. This strategic investment in digital growth underscores Camira’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers and enhancing their overall buying experience.
