Monterro, a leading Nordic software investor, has acquired a majority stake in AG Analytics, a Danish AI platform designed for the automotive industry. The deal aims to accelerate AG Analytics’ growth across Europe, as over 70% of the Danish automotive sector already utilizes the company’s technology to enhance aftermarket customer interactions.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Nicholas Malcolm, AG Analytics has experienced annual growth between 40-50% by providing an AI solution that automates and optimizes customer communications for dealerships and workshops. The platform analyzes each vehicle’s service history and provides personalized reminders for maintenance, repairs, tire changes and more. This tailored approach has increased customer loyalty and revenue.

“Car dealers and importers across Europe face the same challenge that our technology addresses here in the Nordics,” said Malcolm. “It was crucial for us to find a partner that could propel our continued international expansion.”

AG Analytics’ growth has been fueled by leveraging AI and data to transform fragmented customer information into targeted interactions. Malcolm explained this helps dealerships recapture 25-50% of potential revenue typically lost by not properly engaging with the aftermarket.

The company vetted 25 potential investors before selecting Monterro. Beyond financial backing, Monterro provides technical, commercial and strategic experience to scale globally. Malcolm will remain CEO and has reinvested significantly in the new ownership structure.

“It’s an extremely healthy, specialized software company that we’re investing in,” said Monterro’s Managing Director Erik Syrén, now Chairman of AG Analytics. “Return on investment is often seen in the first month.”

Syrén highlighted AG Analytics’ plug-and-play integration that requires minimal implementation costs to connect with existing dealer systems. He said Monterro differs from traditional tech investors by co-investing alongside owners with a long-term perspective.

This marks Monterro’s fourth Danish investment in two years. “Danish software companies often have a global mindset from the start, and many are highly specialized within niches, making them very interesting,” Syrén stated.

With the new resources and expertise, AG Analytics is poised to rapidly expand its AI-powered automotive platform across Europe. Malcolm and Syrén envision bringing personalized, data-driven customer experiences to dealerships internationally.
