New Digital Resources for World Children’s Day by Discovery Education

Global edtech leader Discovery Education presents a host of new resources to help primary schools observe World Children’s Day.

Observed annually on 20^th November, World Children’s Day commemorates the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly in 1959. Organised by the charity UNICEF, the event promotes international togetherness and celebrates the power of children.

Available via Discovery Education’s award-winning digital learning programme Espresso , the new World Children’s Day resources give primary schools high-quality digital content to engage young people today and throughout the school year.

The curriculum-matched World Children’s Day resources include:

• World Children’s Day Lessons – a set of lessons available in Espresso Calendar Picks, differentiated by Key Stage. These lessons help children learn about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
• Classroom Discussion Prompts – resources designed to encourage children to share their views on this important topic
• Health and Relationships – a complete suite of PSHE resources, exploring themes such as respect
• Reading Resources – a range of RSHE-focused reading materials, including a special article on values from children’s magazine The Week Junior.
