Celebration of Life, a direct cremation specialist, reports a notable increase in individuals opting to plan their funerals ahead of time, viewing it as a way to ease the burden on their families rather than focusing on the inevitability of death.

Additionally, escalating funeral costs compound the pressure, with the average price of a traditional attended funeral reaching approximately £4,510, according to the latest SunLife Cost of Dying Report.

Direct cremation has gained popularity as a straightforward and respectful alternative to conventional funerals, now accounting for one in five funerals in the UK.
