Joanne McNally Hosts Casillero del Diablo Rosé Launch Amid Record Heat at Battersea Power Station

Comedian and broadcaster Joanne McNally took centre stage at Perola, Battersea Power Station, to host the launch of Casillero del Diablo’s new Rosé on the hottest day of the year. The event combined a stylish summer lunch with a celebration of the brand’s latest wine offering.

Joanne McNally, known for her enthusiasm for rosé, commented on the occasion: “I can’t bear anything tepid, I need my wine to taste like the Antarctic, I’d happily pop an iceberg in my rosé. During this heatwave I have momentarily taken my head out of my freezer to cut the ribbon on this delicious new Rosé from Casillero del Diablo and honestly I’ve never felt more connected to a wine in my life. Long may this Casillero del Diablo rosé reign.”

The launch event brought the brand’s playful “ice in rosé” concept to life. Attendees were greeted with chilled glasses of Casillero del Diablo Rosé, alongside canapés, an impressive ice sculpture, and a rosé ice luge, setting a refreshing tone for the afternoon. The gathering emphasised enjoying wine in whatever way suits individual tastes.

Following a drinks reception, guests sat down to a lunch designed to highlight the vibrant and refreshing qualities of Casillero del Diablo Rosé. The wine, crafted specifically for summer occasions, can be served traditionally chilled or with ice cubes to suit personal preference.

The event attracted a notable guest list including Joanne McNally, Angela Scanlon, Hannah Byczkowski, Louise O’Neill, Pips Taylor, Jules Cameron, Lee Peart, Jemma Bolt, Angellica Bell, and Arielle Free. Alongside them were prominent figures from lifestyle, food, and drinks media, as well as content creators.

Casillero del Diablo Rosé, made from Pinot Noir grapes, features delicate aromas of fresh strawberries and white peaches. Its bright acidity and crisp finish make it an ideal choice for summer gatherings, al fresco dining, and extended afternoons in the sun. The launch marks the introduction of this wine for the summer of 2026.
