Manahatta’s Award-Winning Operator Launches Game-Changing Sports Bar and Kitchen, BOX, in Birmingham
Renowned premium bar operator, the mastermind behind Manahatta, is aiming for greatness with its latest offering, BOX. This exceptional sports bar and kitchen, set to open on June 3rd in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, is poised to revolutionize the city’s social scene, offering a winning combination of watching, playing, and partying.
Spanning an impressive 10,000 square feet across two floors, BOX is housed in the former Pizza Express location and promises a visually stunning experience. With a capacity for 575 guests, the ground floor features an impressive open kitchen, an island bar, and 32 top-of-the-range TV screens, ensuring visitors can catch the excitement of live sports events, whether it’s football, boxing, athletics, or Formula One.
BOX goes beyond being a premier sports destination by providing guests with interactive entertainment. The venue showcases two 18-foot maple wood European Shuffleboard tables, inviting patrons to indulge in playful competition and immerse themselves in the sports atmosphere.
But BOX isn’t solely focused on sports; it also boasts a vibrant party ambiance. Every Friday and Saturday night, a live band will perform favorite floor-fillers, while Thursdays will feature a resident ‘Bandeoke’ where guests can join an experienced band on stage. Additionally, BOX offers a chic private karaoke room for those who prefer to enjoy their own singing talents with friends.
The culinary offerings at BOX are nothing short of extraordinary. The menu showcases innovative, mouth-watering dishes such as Tater Tots, Hot Honey and N’duja Pizza, and a Pizza Fondue – a triple cheese stuffed pizza dough smothered in garlic butter, accompanied by a fondue of melted cheese and pizza sauce. Guests can also savor Detroit-style deep-dish pizzas, classic burgers, premium kebabs, and more, all crafted using the finest ingredients.
BOX further elevates the experience with its spectacular upstairs bar, private dining room, and outdoor area with 30 seats. The bar offers a top-notch selection of drinks, including high-quality classic cocktails. A specialty section dedicated to tequila-based cocktails will be featured on the newly developed menu. Additionally, BOX introduces sharing cocktails and BOX steins, including the Pornstar Steintini and Largeritas, embodying the larger-than-life spirit of Birmingham.
