Farmacy Rallies the Community: Free Soft Serve, $1 Sandwiches, and a Mission to Spark Joy in SoMa

Farmacy, the bold and beloved eatery tucked in the heart of South Park, is stepping up to spread joy, give back, and help reignite the vibrant energy of San Francisco’s SoMa district.

On May 21 and 23, guests who show a Farmacy social post will receive a free serving of Straus soft serve — a little celebration in a cup, made with premium local dairy and good vibes.

Then, on May 22, Farmacy will host “A Toy for a Sandwich.” Anyone who brings a new toy (for ages 0–12) will receive a signature fried chicken sandwich for just $1. All toys will be donated to San Francisco CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a vital nonprofit that supports foster youth and underprivileged children across the city.

Farmacy’s commitment doesn’t stop at the counter — we’re proud to be doing our part to help bring back the spark to South Park and SoMa. As businesses reopen, events return, and neighborhoods come back to life, we’re excited to be part of the movement that’s putting San Francisco back on its feet.

We’re inspired by Mayor Daniel Lurie’s vision for a revitalized city and by the tireless work of Assemblymember Matt Haney in championing community-driven progress. Their leadership sets the tone, and we’re honored to contribute on a grassroots level.

Currently, around 640 children are in foster care in San Francisco, with many facing significant challenges such as frequent relocations and educational disruptions. Organizations like San Francisco CASA play a crucial role in providing these children with dedicated advocates to support their well-being and future success.
