Community Changemakers School Launches to Strengthen Leadership in the Social Sector

A new online education initiative, Community Changemakers School, has launched to provide accessible, high-quality training for nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members who want to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Whether just getting started or seeking to deepen existing skills, Community Changemakers School is designed as a go-to hub for learning and professional growth in the nonprofit and community sectors.

The School offers practical, on-demand classes on topics such as fundraising, marketing and outreach, board development, leadership, and management. Each class includes a video, transcript, slide deck, and audio file so members can learn at their own pace. For a subscription of $15 per month or $145 per year, members receive unlimited access to the course library, with a new course added each month.

In addition to coursework, members become part of a vibrant, supportive community where they can exchange ideas, ask questions, and participate in monthly office hours with Jessica Aviva, Ph.D., the School’s founding director. Dr. Aviva brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, 16 years of university teaching, and authorship of 17 books on leadership, community development, and feminist practice.

“Community Changemakers School was created to expand and strengthen access to nonprofit education,” said Dr. Aviva. “By combining practical training with peer connection, we’re helping leaders at all levels strengthen their ability to create lasting, positive change.”
