Sustainable Fashion Weekender 2025: Embrace Circularity and Climate Justice in East London
Sustainable Fashion Weekender: A Two-Day Celebration of Circularity, Community and Climate Justice
How come those who are most affected by the effects of waste colonialism are rarely seen in sustainable fashion spaces? How can we ensure we include their voices and perspectives when we are having conversations about shaping the future of fashion?
This spring, East London’s Space and Purpose at Arch 45, Aldgate East will transform into a vibrant hub of conscious creativity for the Sustainable Fashion Weekender — a two-day event curated by THE FASHION BLUEPRINT (TFB), bringing together changemakers across fashion, tech, and climate action.
Set against the backdrop of a fashion industry grappling with overproduction, greenwashing, and climate confusion, the Sustainable Fashion Weekender offers an alternative vision: one rooted in circularity, collaboration, and community empowerment. Designed for emerging designers, industry professionals and conscious consumers alike, the event features an energising mix of panel talks, upcycling workshops, and a consciously curated market showcasing purpose-led fashion businesses.
Most importantly, the event will raise awareness and funds in support of Upcycle It Ghana and the Kantamanto Upcyclers Association — grassroots organisations tackling the devastating impact of secondhand clothing waste in Accra, Ghana. These creatives, who are at the frontline of circular innovation, were left to their own devices to rebuild their livelihoods after a devastating fire tore through Kantamanto Market in January 2025 — a stark reminder of the systemic neglect faced by those holding up the backbone of global fashion waste management. 100% of profits from the event will be donated to both organisations.
Date: Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 May 2025
Time: 11:00am – 7:00pm
Location: Arch 45, Chamber Street, London E1 8BL
At a time when fast fashion giants continue to pollute the planet and greenwashing dominates the headlines, TFB is flipping the narrative. The Sustainable Fashion Weekender brings together the brands, creatives and changemakers who are actually doing the work – from innovative upcyclers directly from Kantamanto market, digital fashion pioneers to regenerative designers.
Expect panel talks that cut through the noise, practical workshops that empower, a curated conscious market full of secondhand and vintage gems, music, and good vibes all weekend long. The lineup features award-winning speakers, community builders, and designers rethinking fashion’s entire lifecycle.
Whether you’re an industry insider or just starting to explore sustainability, this weekender is about connection, not clout. It’s about action, not aesthetics. It’s about rewriting the rules of what a fashion event can be.
