Judging from the Decanter World Wine Awards

Leading lifestyle agency, Panthera Communications, has been awarded, for the third year in a row, the international consumer and trade PR account for the prestigious 2024 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA).

Led by Thomas Wright, CEO and co-founder of Panthera Communications, the agency will promote the awards, which are recognised as the world’s largest and most prestigious wine awards, globally.

Thomas Wright said: “We are delighted to have the honour to lead the campaign to promote these awards to both consumer and trade for the third consecutive year.

“Since we started working with Decanter, we’ve achieved international coverage for each campaign within the likes of CNN, BBC, Daily Mail, Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian. We work to not only showcase the results themselves but also promote the extensive and rigorous judging week process, winning vineyards and wine makers. It has been brilliant to what we have been able to achieve coverage-wise, not only for the awards but also the wider Decanter brand.”

Panthera’s brief for 2024 is to further strengthen the position of DWWA as the world’s largest and most prestigious wine awards within the UK and internationally. Last year saw around 18,500 wines from 55 countries sampled making it the largest number of entries and submissions from around the world to date.

Decanter World Wine Awards results are trusted internationally with promotion of the awards benefiting from the competition’s unrivalled global reach.

Thomas Wright, continued “It has been great to see the awards grow year on year especially through the last couple of years with challenges wine producers have faced such as COVID, the war in Ukraine and global warming. We are particularly proud of a story we placed about Ukrainian winemakers within The Guardian and the struggles they are facing during the ongoing conflict.

“Myself, agency co-founder Samantha Preece and our team are so looking forward to getting stuck into the awards campaign this year and seeing what revelations the results may bring. This year the Medal winners will be revealed on June 19, and it’s always such an exciting date on the agency’s calendar!”

Panthera Communications other clients include Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels and Hedonistas de la Fe Mezcal.
