Charity Careers & Volunteer Job Fair in Belfast Attracts Growing Number of Organisations

Jobseekers and volunteers across Northern Ireland are being urged to attend the upcoming Charity Careers & Volunteer Job Fair in Belfast, as an increasing number of organisations confirm their participation.

Organised by Charity Jobs NI, the event will be held on Tuesday 24 March 2026, from 10am to 2pm at the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre in Belfast. Attendance is free, providing a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with charities, community groups, and social enterprises offering meaningful career and volunteer roles within Northern Ireland’s third sector.

Confirmed participants include the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, HarmonI, Start360, The Conservation Volunteers, Caring Breaks, and Living Water Adopt-A-Child UK & Ireland. The expanding list of exhibitors ensures attendees can explore a diverse range of organisations and opportunities all in one location.

Now in its third year since its 2024 launch, the Fair has established itself as a significant event in the third sector calendar. It enables visitors to engage directly with organisations, gain insight into their work, and discover both paid and volunteer positions in a supportive environment. At the previous Fair, over 270 job vacancies and 335 volunteer roles were showcased, resulting in more than 465 applications submitted on the day and leading to numerous hires and volunteer placements across Northern Ireland.

Chris Bunce, Co-founder of Charity Jobs NI, commented: “With the event approaching, what stands out is the variety of organisations attending. For anyone considering a career in the third sector or seeking volunteer opportunities, this means more chances to ask questions, build connections, and identify where their skills and interests align.

Among the newcomers this year is Living Water Adopt-A-Child UK & Ireland, which supports children, vulnerable adults, and families in Guatemala and Albania. Esther Teggart, Area Coordinator, said: “The Fair offers a chance to raise awareness of our work in Guatemala and Albania, and to demonstrate how people can support us from afar.

“We hope to inspire attendees to get involved in ways that suit them, while also forging new connections with other charities and attendees that could lead to partnerships and collaboration through shared resources and knowledge. As first-time participants, we look forward to contributing to the event.”

Returning exhibitor HarmonI, which provides compassionate care for people living with disabilities and those facing social disadvantage, also values the Fair as a platform to engage with individuals motivated by values-driven employment or volunteering.
