Falmouth University’s Be Good Agency Launches New Website to Amplify Social Impact Initiatives

Falmouth University’s Be Good agency – a faculty-led, student-powered consultancy using behavioural insights to inspire positive social and environmental change – has launched a new website designed to reflect its growing reputation and impact.

The platform was developed in collaboration with Cornwall-based web design company Papaya Studio, and marks a key step in enhancing how the agency showcases its research-led campaigns and real-world outcomes for clients including Cornwall Council, NHS Cornwall, and Ecover.

Blending research and creativity to deliver real-world impact

Founded by Lucy Cokes in 2022 within Falmouth University’s School of Communication, Be Good combines academic research, behavioural economics, and student creativity to tackle real-world challenges for brands and non-profits.

The agency’s model bridges the gap between academia and industry – empowering students to work on live client briefs while ensuring all projects are guided by experienced faculty. To date, Be Good has provided more than 35 paid work opportunities for students, helping them gain confidence, develop professional skills, and contribute to campaigns that make a tangible difference in their communities.

“The collaboration between the advertising team at Falmouth University and the local studio, Papaya, has been highly rewarding. Papaya listened meticulously to our needs, delivering a new brand and website that has instantly strengthened Be Good’s professional credibility. The clarity of the new site is crucial; it not only successfully serves our diverse set of audiences but, most importantly, brings immense value to our students by showcasing their work in a highly professional manner.”  – Lucy Cokes, Founder of Be Good and Senior Lecturer, Falmouth University.

Local partnership delivers new digital platform for Be Good

The collaboration between Falmouth University and Cornwall’s Papaya Studio began in May 2025, with the new Be Good website launching at the end of October. The project aimed to establish Be Good as a credible, research-led agency capable of delivering professional, impactful work.

Through discovery workshops with the university team, Papaya helped shape the digital strategy and user experience – ensuring the site clearly communicates Be Good’s dual model of academic insight and student-driven creativity.

The new platform also gives Be Good full autonomy over its content, enabling the team to easily update projects, publish new work and refine messaging without developer support – meaning the website can now serve as a continually up-to-date resource showcasing the agency’s latest campaigns, services and research.

“This was a brilliant collaboration to be part of. The Be Good team had such a clear purpose – to create something that felt every bit as credible and research-backed as the work they deliver. From our first workshop, it was clear how much passion there is for empowering students and driving social change, and we’re proud to have helped them bring that to life online.” – Nathan Hambling, Founder of Papaya Studio

“This new website is a vital strategic tool for us providing a hub for our knowledge exchange activity, helping our research have wider impact and giving our work visibility with audiences beyond academia. The platform provides a clear, compelling showcase of our unique expertise in behavioural change which will undoubtedly help us to secure future clients and impactful commercial projects for our students to work on during their studies” – Lucy Cokes, Be Good Founder and Senior Lecturer, Falmouth University.

Cornwall’s creative talent connecting academia with industry

With its refreshed digital presence, Be Good is set to expand its reach and continue connecting behavioural research with creative solutions that deliver measurable impact.

Campaigns developed by the agency have already supported initiatives addressing vaccine hesitancy, violence prevention, and sustainable living, with local organisations praising the professionalism and creativity of Falmouth students.

“It feels like we’re really building a great relationship with the University… your students have engaged so wholeheartedly in our briefs to produce some truly inspiring work.” – Cornwall Council representative, as quoted on the Be Good website

Collaboration driving Cornwall’s creative future

The project also reflects a wider story about Cornwall’s creative economy – one that sees local agencies, educators and researchers collaborating to nurture the next generation of digital and design talent.

For Be Good, the new website is a platform for continued growth and recognition. For Papaya Studio, it represents the kind of purposeful local partnership that aligns with the studio’s focus on meaningful design and positive impact.
